2.2 - Installing PL7 V4.5 update/upgrade products
_________________________________________________
On a PL7 version prior to V4.4 in Win98/ME/XP/2000/
To install update/upgrade products in Win2000, WinXP,
proceed as follows:

    1. Check that the PL7 version prior to V4.4 has been installed
    on the PC. If not, install it before continuing.
    2. Delete the Uni-telway communication driver.
    3. Restart the PC.
    4. Install the PL7 V4.5 software application by following the installation instructions.
    Use F:\PL7V45\setup.exe to start installing the application, F being the CD-ROM drive.
Once the software is installed, the PL7 application is identified as PL7 V4.5, as indicated
    in the "About..." box in the main menu. ".

2.3 - Installing the USB driver
_______________________________
The current USB driver is configured for Windows (c) 2000 and Windows XP.
The TSXPCX3030 cable is a USB1.1 / RS485 converter which allows connections
between a PC with a USB port and a PLC, using the PLC's TER or AUX connector.

The TSXPCX3030 cable must not be connected to the PC when installing the USB driver
Run F:\USB-TSXPCX3030\TSXPCX3030DeviceFiles.exe to start installing the USB driver.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
When prompted for the driver directory location, select C:\TSXPCX3030DeviceFiles

Once the USB driver installation is complete, connect the TSXPCX3030 cable recognised
in Plug & Play mode.

To activate the USB port, select the Unitelway driver
in the Xway device manager.
Click on Add
Select COM X (TSXPCX3030 cable) in the COM port list and name the ID.
Click on OK to validate
Select the USB COM port and click on Apply.
The Unitelway driver is initialized and the PL7 application is ready to run.

2.4 - ASi private catalogue file management
___________________________________________
When uninstalling the PL7 application, the Private.cfg and private2.ctg ASi files
(directory \PL7SYS\ASI) will be deleted.
Remember to save these files before uninstalling the application.

3 - Software installation and authorization procedures
===========================================================
3.1 - Installation procedure
____________________________
The PL7 V4.5 installation procedure remains the same.
You will be prompted to enter a code during the installation procedure. This code depends on the license
purchased. You will find this installation code on the label on the rear of the CD-ROM jacket containing
the PL7 software.

3.2 - Authorization procedure
________________________
See the "PL7 MICRO/JUNIOR/PRO installation documentation".
A web acces is recommended for immediate registration.

3.2 - Installation issues
___________________
Installing PL7 PRO V45 on Windows 2000 or XP , you get error messages "1rst Installation error family #".
At least PL7 is not or badly installed . To fix this issue, validate an option in the local disk properties
windows . In the explorer screen, Right click on the hard disk where you have to install PL7 PRO
and choose properties . On the bottom of the windows , select the option " Allow Indexing Service to index
this disk for fast file searching ".

Nota: Avoid to install PL7 on a PC with a RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) configuration. Risk to lose the rights.

4 - Screen displays
=============================

4.1 - Configuration/debug screens
On certain configuration screens, the information can appear truncated.
If you encounter this problem, change the font size to "small font" in the
Windows display properties.

4.2 - Help: Displaying tables and diagrams, dynamic links
Displays of tables and diagrams may be degraded if:
- the screen size is smaller than 15 inches,
- the resolution is less than 800 X 600.

Some of the on-line documentation's dynamic links can be damaged [shown by: See ()].
If you encounter such problems, see the product documentation provided on the Doc. CD.

2.2 - Installation des produits PL7 V4.5 de mise à jour/mise à niveau
______________________________________________________
    Sur une version de PL7 antérieure à V4.4 sous Win98/ME/XP/2000/,
Pour installer les produits de mise à jour/mise à niveau sous Win98, Win2000, WinME, WinXP
procédez de la manière suivante :

    1. Vérifiez que le logiciel PL7 de version antérieure à V4.4 est installé
    sur le PC. Dans le cas contraire, installez-le.
    2. Supprimez le driver de communication Uni-telway.
    3. Redémarrez le PC
    4. Installez le logiciel PL7 V4.5 en respectant la procédure d'installation.
    Lancer l'installation par F:\PL7V45\setup.exe où F est le lecteur de CD-ROM.
Après installation, PL7 est identifié comme PL7 V4.5, c'est ce qui est indiqué dans
la boîte « A propos de...» du menu principal « ? ».

2.3 - Installation du driver USB
________________________
Le driver USB présent a été validé pour Windows © 2000 et XP.
Le câble TSXPCX3030 est un convertisseur USB1.1 / RS485 qui permet de connecter
un PC muni d'une prise USB à un automate par sa prise TER ou AUX.

Lors de l'installation du driver USB, le câble TSXPCX3030 ne doit pas être connecté au PC
Lancer l'installation par F:\USB-TSXPCX3030\TSXPCX3030DeviceFiles.exe.
Suivre les indications affichées à l'écran
Lors du choix de l'emplacement du driver, sélectionner C:\TSXPCX3030DeviceFiles

Quand l'installation du driver est terminée, connecter le câble TSXPCX3030 qui est reconnu
par le mode Plug & Play.

Pour activer le port USB, dans le Xway device manager, sélectionner la configuration du
driver Unitelway.
Cliquer sur ajouter
Dans la liste des ports COM, sélectionner COM X (TSXPCX3030 cable) et attribuer un nom à l'ID.
Valider en cliquant sur OK
Selectionner le port COM USB et cliquer sur appliquer.
Le driver Unitelway s'initialise et PL7 peut alors être exécuté.

2.4 - Gestion des fichiers catalogues privés ASi
_______________________________________
Lors de la désinstallation de PL7, les fichiers ASi Private.cfg et private2.ctg
(directory \PL7SYS\ASI) sont supprimés.
Pensez à les sauvegarder au préalable.

3 - Procédures d'installation et d'autorisation du logiciel
===========================================================
3.1 - Procédure d'installation
_______________________
   La procédure d'installation de PL7 V4.5 reste inchangée.
Vous serez amené à saisir un code lors de la procédure d'installation. Ce code dépend de la licence achetée.
Vous trouverez ce code d'installation sur l'étiquette collée à l'arrière de la boite du CD Rom contenant
le logiciel PL7.

3.2 - Procédure d'autorisation
________________________
Voir le manuel "PL7 MICRO/JUNIOR/PRO Manuel d'installation".
Pour un enregistrement immédiat,la procédure d'autorisation par le WEB est fortement recommandé.

NOTA : Eviter d'installer PL7 sur un PC qui possède une configuration RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks). Rique de
perdre l'enregistrement.

3.3 - Problèmes d'installation
_______________________
Lors de l'installation de PL7 V4.5, un message d'erreur peut apparaitre "1rst Installation error family #". Cela n'empêche pas d'installer
correctement PL7. Pour fixer ce problème, validez une option dans Windows. Dans l'explorateur Windows, faîtes un
clic-droit sur l'unité où PL7 est installé et sélectionnez Propriétés. En bas de la fenêtre, sélectionnez l'option
"Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching"

4 - Affichage dans les écrans
=============================
4.1 - Ecrans de configuration / mise au point
____________________________________
Dans certains écrans de configuration ou de mise au point, les informations affichées peuvent être tronquées.
Si vous rencontrez ce problème, configurez la taille de la police en "petite police" dans
les propriétés de l'affichage Windows".

4.2 - Help : affichage des tableaux et schémas, liens dynamiques
_____________________________________________________
La visualisation des schémas et tableaux peut être détériorée si :
- l'écran a une taille inférieure à 15 pouces,
- la résolution est inférieure à 800 X 600.

Certains liens dynamiques de la documentation en ligne peuvent être endommagés [matérialisés par : voir ()].
Si vous rencontrez ces désagréments, reportez-vous à la documentation livrée sur le CD Doc.

HINWEIS: Da Microsoft den Support für Windows 95 Ende Dezember 2001 eingestellt hat, wurde
PL7 nicht für die Kompatibilität mit Windows 95 konzipiert.

2.2 - Installation der PL7 V4.5-Produkte zur Aktualisierung/Anpassung
_____________________________________________________________________
Auf einer PL7-Version vor V4.0 unter Win98/ME/XP/2000/
Wenn Sie Produkte zum Aktualisieren/Anpassen unter Win98, Win2000, WinME oder WinXP installieren möchten,
gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

    1. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass eine Version von PL7 vor V4.0 auf dem PC
    installiert ist. Falls nicht, installieren Sie diese.
    2. Löschen Sie den Treiber für die Uni-Telway-Übertragung.
    3. Starten Sie den PC neu.
    4. Installieren Sie PL7 V4.5 gemäß dem beschriebenen Installationsvorgang.
    Starten Sie die Installation ausgehend von F:\PL7V44\setup.exe, wobei F für den Laufwerksbuchstaben
    des CD-ROM-Laufwerks steht.
Nach der Installation wird PL7 als PL7 V4.5 gekennzeichnet. Dies wird unter der Option
"Über" im Menü "?" angezeigt.

2.3 - Installation des USB-Treibers
____________________________________
Der aktuelle USB-Treiber wurde für Windows (c) 2000 und XP zertifiziert.
Das Kabel TSXPCX3030 ist ein USB1.1/RS485-Konvertierkabel, das den Anschluss
eines mit einem USB-Port ausgestatteten PC an die TER- oder AUX-Buchse der Steuerung ermöglicht.

Während der Installation des USB-Treibers darf das Kabel TSXPCX3030 nicht an den PC angeschlossen sein.
Starten Sie die Installation mittels F:\USB-TSXPCX3030\TSXPCX3030DeviceFiles.exe.
Befolgen Sie die am Bildschirm angezeigten Anweisungen.
Wählen Sie als Speicherpfad des Treibers C:\TSXPCX3030DeviceFiles aus.

Wenn die Installation des Treibers abgeschlossen ist, schließen Sie das Kabel TSXPCX3030,
das vom Plug & Play-Modus erkannt wird, an.

Wählen Sie im Xway Device Manager die Konfiguration des Uni-Telway-Treibers,
um den USB-Port zu aktivieren.
Klicken Sie auf "Hinzufügen".
Wählen Sie in der Liste der COM-Ports "COM X" (TSXPCX3030-Kabel) und weisen Sie der ID einen Namen zu.
Bestätigen Sie die Auswahl durch Anklicken von "OK".
Wählen Sie den USB-COM-Port und klicken Sie auf "Anwenden".
Der Uni-Telway-Treiber wird initialisiert. Anschließend kann PL7 ausgeführt werden.

2.4 - Verwaltung der privaten ASi-Katalogdateien
________________________________________________
Bei der Deinstallation von PL7 werden die ASi-Dateien Private.cfg und private2.ctg
(Verzeichnis \PL7SYS\ASI) gelöscht.
Denken Sie daran, diese Dateien zuvor zu sichern.

3 - Vorgang zur Installation und Autorisierung der Software

Der Installationsvorgang für PL7 V4.5 hat sich gegenüber der Vorgängerversion nicht geändert.
Sie werden während des Installationsvorgangs aufgefordert, einen Code einzugeben. Dieser Code ist abhängig von
der gekauften Softwarelizenz.
Sie finden den Installationscode auf einem Etikett auf der Rückseite der CD-ROM-Hülle
für die Software PL7.

3.2 - Registrierungsverfahren
___________________________
Siehe Handbuch "PL7 MICRO/JUNIOR/PRO-Installationshandbuch".
Für eine sofortige Nutzung wird dringend die Registrierung per Internet empfohlen.

HINWEIS: Installieren Sie PL7 nicht auf einem PC mit einer RAID-Konfiguration (Redundant Array of Independent Disks).
Andernfalls besteht die Gefahr des Verlusts der Registrierung.

3.3 - Installationsprobleme
______________________________
Während der Installation von PL7 V4.5 kann die Fehlermeldung "1rst Installation error family #" angezeigt werden.
Es ist dennoch eine korrekte Installation von PL7 möglich.
Um dieses Problem zu beheben, müssen Sie eine Option in Windows aktivieren.
Klicken Sie hierzu im Windows Explorer mit der rechten Maustaste auf die Einheit, in der PL7 installiert ist, und wählen Sie dann die Option "Eigenschaften" aus.
Aktivieren Sie unten im Fenster die Option "Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching ".

Die Anzeigetexte können auf bestimmten Konfigurations-/Debug-Bildschirmen unvollständig sein.

4.2 - Hilfe: Anzeige von Tabellen und Abbildungen, dynamische Verknüpfungen

Die Anzeigequalität von Abbildungen und Tabellen kann eventuell herabgesetzt sein, wenn:

1.2 - Installazione dei prodotti PL7 V4.5 d'aggiornamento e di aggiornamento di livello

Per installare i prodotti di aggiornamento/aggiornamento di livello sotto Win98, Win2000, WinME, WinXP

    1. Verificare che sia installato sul PC il software PL7 della versione antecedente alla V4.0.

1.3 - Installazione del driver USB

Il driver USB presente è stato confermato compatibile con Windows (c) 2000 e XP.
Il cavo TSXPCX3030 è un convertitore USB1.1 / RS485 che permette di collegare
un PC che dispone di porta USB a un PLC tramite la presa TER o AUX.

Durante l'installazione del driver USB, il cavo TSXPCX3030 non deve essere collegato al PC
Avviare l'installazione da F:\USB-TSXPCX3030\TSXPCX3030DeviceFiles.exe.
Seguire le indicazioni a video
Durante la scelta della posizione del driver, selezionare C:\TSXPCX3030DeviceFiles

Al termine dell'installazione del driver, collegare il cavo TSXPCX3030 che è riconosciuto
per la modalità Plug & Play.

Per attivare la porta USB, in Xway device manager, selezionare la configurazione del
driver Unitelway.
Fare clic su Aggiungi
Nell'elenco delle porte COM, selezionare COM X (cavo TSXPCX3030) e attribuire un nome all'ID.
Confermare con un clic su OK
Selezionare la porta COM USB e fare clic su Applica.
Il driver Unitelway viene inizializzato e PL7 può essere eseguito.

Durante l'installazione del PL7 V4.5, può essere visualizzato un messaggio d'errore "1rst Installation error family #".
Questo non impedisce, tuttavia, d'installare correttamente il PL7. Per sistemare questo problema,

NOTA: PL7 no es compatible con Windows 95 debido a la finalización del periodo de compatibilidad
para Windows 95 por parte de Microsoft a partir del 31 de diciembre de 2001.

2.2 - Instalación de los productos PL7 V4.5 de actualización/nivelación en una versión de
__________________________________________________________________________________________
    PL7 anterior a V4.0 con Win98/ME/XP/2000/.
Para instalar los productos de actualización/nivelación en Win98, Win2000, WinME y WinXP, siga las
instrucciones que se indican a continuación:

    1. Compruebe que el software PL7 correspondiente a la versión anterior a V4.0 esté instalado
    en el PC. Si no es así, proceda a instalarlo.
    2. Elimine el controlador de comunicación UNI-TELWAY.
    3. Reinicie el PC.
    4. Instale el software PL7 V4.5 según el procedimiento de instalación.
    Inicie la instalación a través de F:\PL7V44\setup.exe, donde F es la unidad de CD-ROM.
Tras la instalación, PL7 se identificará como PL7 V4.5, que es como se indica en el cuadro
    "Acerca de..." del menú principal "?".

2.3 - Instalación del driver USB

Windows (c) 2000 y Windows XP han validado el driver USB actual.
El cable TSXPCX3030 es un convertidor USB1.1 / RS485 que permite conectar un PC provisto de un
    conector USB a un autómata a través de su conector TER o AUX.

Al instalar el driver USB, el cable TSXPCX3030 no debe conectarse al PC.
Inicie la instalación a través de F:\USB-TSXPCX3030\TSXPCX3030DeviceFiles.exe.
Siga las instrucciones indicadas en pantalla.
Al elegir la ubicación del driver, seleccione C:\TSXPCX3030DeviceFiles

Cuando la instalación del driver haya finalizado, conecte el cable TSXPCX3030 admitido por el modo Conectar
y reproducir.

Para activar el puerto USB, en el administrador de dispositivos Xway, seleccione la configuración del driver
UNI-TELWAY.
Haga clic en Agregar.
En la lista de los puertos COM, seleccione COM X (TSXPCX3030 cable) y asígnele un nombre al ID.
Valide haciendo clic en Aceptar.
Seleccione el puerto COM USB y haga clic en Aplicar.
El driver UNI-TELWAY se inicializa para que PL7 pueda ejecutarse.

2.4 - Gestión de archivos de catálogos privados ASi

Al desinstalar PL7, se eliminan los archivos ASi Private.cfg y private2.ctg (directory \PL7SYS\ASI).
Asegúrese de guardarlos previamente.

3 - Procedimiento de instalación y de autorización del software
===============================================================
3.1 - Procedimiento de instalación
__________________________________
El procedimiento de instalación de PL7 V4.5 no se modifica.
Deberá introducir un código durante el procedimiento de instalación. El código dependerá del tipo de
licencia que haya adquirido.
Este código de instalación se encuentra en la etiqueta situada en la parte posterior de la caja del
CD ROM del software PL7.

3.2 - Procedimiento de autorización
___________________________________
Véase el documento "PL7 MICRO/JUNIOR/PRO Manual de instalación".
Para un registro inmediato, se recomienda el procedimiento de autorización Web.

NOTA: Evite la instalación de PL7 en un PC con configuración RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks).
Riesgo de pérdida del registro.

3.3 - Problemas de instalación
______________________________
Cuando instale PL7 V4.5, puede que aparezca el mensaje de error "1rst Installation error family #".
Sin embargo, esto no impide instalar correctamente el PL7. Para corregir el problema,
valide una opción en Windows. En el Explorador de Windows,
haga clic con el botón derecho del ratón sobre la unidad PL7 en la que esté instalado y seleccione Propiedades.
En la parte inferior de la ventana, seleccione la opción "Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching".

4 - Visualización en las pantallas

4.1 - Pantallas de configuración/depuración

En algunas pantallas de configuración o de depuración, la información puede aparecer dañada.
Si se encuentra con este problema, configure el tamaño de la fuente en "Fuente pequeña", en las propiedades
de visualización de Windows.

4.2 - Ayuda: visualización de tablas y esquemas, vínculos dinámicos.
____________________________________________________________________
La visualización de los esquemas y tablas puede deteriorarse si:
- la pantalla es inferior a 15 pulgadas;
- la resolución es inferior a 800 X 600.
